Subject: question about your e-juice recipe calculator
I'd love to try your calculator, but every time I try to run it an "initialization error" appears and it won't launch. Am I doing something wrong? I use Windows XP.
Thanks, X

Hi X,
Thank you for your interest in eJuice Me Up.
It has been tested and has been in use for several months on all of the Windows versions from Windows 7 32&64bit to Win 95.
Do you have Windows Update ON? Make sure that you have Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5
If auto update is enabled, this would have been installed 2 years ago. You can check by going to Control Panel, Add/Remove to see if it's there.
Microsoft .Net FrameWork3.5 download link:

Or perhaps it is being blocked by some program that you are running. Say a Firewall, Virus software, Adware Software, etc....
Of all the versions of windows that I have tested eJuice on, it has never been blocked by any other software that I had running.
Best Regards,
Dave

hi Dave,
success !! ... I had to download over 50 mb of ms "updates" : ( ... I am very selective and usually d/l only critical updates, and I always turn off auto update ... in this case, I had to turn it on, but not auto install ... there were a few net framework 3.5 sp1 updates, altho I already had sp3, so I woulda thought they were included ... apparently not ... btw, my previous attempts used your ver 5.2, iirc ? ... I now have your 6.0 ver
I most certainly would not have updated all this extraneous (imho) stuff without your reply and suggestion ... ya know, if it ain't broke ...
glad to have your program running, my mixing will now be much easier ... I'll keep checking your website, you seem to be a prolific developer of tools : )
thanks and best regards,
X

Thanks, Breaktru. Your suggestion worked like a dream. I had updates set to manual and never installed .Net frameworks. Once done, all worked as designed.

I cannot install update "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update (KB951847) x64". Windows Update encounters a reportedly unknown error code 643 and the update fails.

I am trying to install framework 3.5 on a x64 machine running Windows 7 and get the message "Use 'Turn Windows Features on and off'".
