I need a very thin voltmeter to fit between the battery tray and the side of a 1590g Hammond box. I am going to cut out a space in the box for the meter, but even so, all of the meters that I've found are too deep to fit in the space.
Any tips on a very thin voltmeter will be appreciated.
Thanks - Granville

Sorry Granville. Don't know of a thin display. Most of us put the meter on the face.
Maybe someone will chime in here with one if it exists.

Yeah, I am actually planning on cutting a rectangle for the meter as there won't be anywhere to stuff it. However, there isn't much space between the 1590G inner wall and the battery tray, and it doesn't look like the "miniature" meter that I already have will fit, as it's pretty thick.
Thanks

Sorry, I don't have a budget available to design a slim one yet ... working to recover the investment in MOSFET & PWM boards right now. Yes, I could design PCB's & program MCU's, but to keep the costs to everyone reasonable I'd probably have to build 1k or more of them here in the US. I refuse to have my PCB's fabbed or assembled in China!

Where does one typically put the voltmeter in a 1590G - thru the box wall, and against the battery tray?
Thanks

Granville, you didn't mention what you are using in the box. Regulated or un-regulated.
Anyway, check out these:

Good stuff - thanks! I've got some browsing to do :yes"

Any of the .28" voltmeters should work. If your battery holder is too wide instead of a Keystone or MPD dual 18650 holder, check out some of the 3d printed alternatives that are available. Here is one I have available on Shapeways the width is only 37mm, I believe Keystone's 1048 is closer to 41mm https://www.shapeways.com/product/CXUT3Q26Z/dual-18650-holder-newest-design-02-09-15
