Bogger Box mod booster upgrade.
« on: March 25, 2014, 04:13:22 PM »
Firstly I would like to say thanks to everyone a breaktru for the schematics, patience and advice, also special thanks to Andrew (wreck)for his help and links.

It would be prudent to mention that this is the first thing like this I have ever undertaken. :D

I decided to put the 04050 chip in my mini Bogger bf box mod, originally 18500, it now features an 18350, with the boost chip inside. Was a tighter fit than I imagined it would be lol.

I decided to take some picture of my journey.

The first thing I did was to recess the drip cup by around 4mm, using a forstner bit.

Here is a few pics of the build process and components.

After a few attempts and some major rewiring this is what I have ended up with.

I built my own carto conversion to use to test the voltage output with, as you can see from the pictures below, I get from 4.01v-6.17v. I am not sure why i get this range as I used a 4.7k and 15k resistor as per the schematic.
But it suits my needs, as i like the 4.2v (fresh battery vape)

And finally some vape pr0n. Enjoy. :)

Thanks mate, as i mentioned over the road was a bit of a head ache, as you can see i had to mount the chip at an angle, when I finished building it and started to test it, i had no output ARGHHHHH lol, turned out it was just a bad solder on the -ve contact (junction)
