Another Vamo board question
« on: May 02, 2014, 07:12:59 PM »
Hi,

I am building a box mod with a Vamo V5 board that I bought from fasttech. This one-off
https://www.fasttech.com/products/1652300
It's name on fasttech is "Vomo v5". Is this a spelling mistake or is it a clone?
I have hitched it up to a bench power supply and it seems to perform as well as my V2. I was just curious, I figured as it was so much cheaper than a UK sourced one it must be a clone.

Cheers.

Comparing photos of the Vamo V5, It appears to be a clone

I just read about this board, the guy said,  it performs a bit better than his Vamo  when used as a buck board.
Cant remember where I read it lol..

have created 2 VAMO v5 mods and they work great. the boards i used look very much the same as these on fasttech, so maybe mine were clones too, not sure.

Hi, just ordered a couple of these to try my hand at building my own mods. Does anyone have access to a datasheet or connection details? I'll be honest, I am a total n00b at this.

Great, thanks for showing me the way! I do normally have a search first but this thread jumped out so I thought I'd just ask. Looking forward to getting cracking with the builds. Will most certainly be back for more help though ;-)
