Thought I’d share my lastest build. If you want to copy it? That’s fine with me! It was supposed to be Very Simple! Simple isn’t the same as easy! LOL! The KISS principle didn’t make it to this ones front door! For sure! I wanted to use colored tactile switches but not have all the spaghetti wiring show. Sooooo, I put most of the wiring in the walls! The tact switches and 510 I heat colored to blue or close! Careful if you try it! Very tricky with the thin metal of the switches. Yup, I now have a few switches that’ll go for a anmother project. The blue corner inlay blocks are a product called Richlite (interesting material!). They’re hard to see the deep blue color with my poor cellphone photos. Sooo, I’ll just continue testing it for now. Oh yeah, it has magnetic closesure.
1-Board—DNA20 + resettable fuses (2) for reverse polarity protection.
2-Battery—Single AW IMR 2000mAh.
3-Material—Micarta (.093).
4-Wire—Black 20ga. Solid.
5-510 Connector—Fatdaddy.
Here’s a link to my build pictures in no particular order!

I googled it and I see the pocket knife industry has latched on to Micarta and ran with it.
Gotta say this straight razor is sweet, but a little scary, not sure I want that next to my throat.
But back to you. You really captured the nostalgic look and are obviously a master wire bender. It's almost a shame to not show off the wiring, it's kind of nostalgic as well, harking back to the day's of point to point wiring of early electronics.

Hey Jasen
LOL! Excellent Lewis Razor! Charlie does some excellent work! Don't know him personally but have seen his work and love it. The knife industry has been using Micarta for years. That's how I was introduced to it some 20 years ago but never made any knives or razors. That will be changing also.
Ty, but the bending isn't really that hard if you think out your paths and oh yeah, use solid wire! It did remind me of moves in 3D chess.

Or my 1st screen saver from 20 years ago
I've probably got a couple old micarta pocket knives around here, just never knew what it was.

Thanks folks! A bit of old school look for ya! The in wall wiring was a bit of a challenge but I'm happy with the way it turned out.
