IPV3 mod?
« on: February 21, 2015, 01:55:23 PM »
Anyone familiar enough with the ipv3 to say if it would work as a parallel battery mod? I'd rather have longer battery life than super high wattage. I already have the IPV3.

The IPV3 uses the SX330 board. The minimum voltage is: 6.2 Volts.
So a single 3.7v (4.2v) battery won't cut it.

Look at the sx350 mini board. It's able to run single or dual batteries. In single (or parallel) it can run 65 watts so it's still got plenty of power and you can still get your battery life.

Thanks methos, I'll look into it. I just recently bought a iPV3 is why I asked. I'm happy with the performance, just thought having2 batteries it would last longer.
