Nothing Special-- 08100 build
« on: April 22, 2015, 01:54:28 AM »
It is special,  it is my 1st use of 18650's

I cannot believe I took this long to step up to 18650's whoa
May my 14500's light the candle they now burn in a long long time.  lol

Yeah I was a strict 14500 guy, fast charging, decent power, easy to carry spare, small, powerful mod,  etc etc many pro's not many cons..

The 18650 @7-12 amps last 2.5 days for me would go further but I like to charge at 3.6v saves two hours letting them go lower I think they would maybe run 4 days the way I vape (heavy)lol...  Infreakincredible..

It took ~6 hour to 3.9v then another ~8 to 3.8v I couldn't believe it lol..

Heres gold bar 3.9v-6.9v.
Just a scavenge build with what was laying around..

The small ones are nice when you're out and about, but the run time is nice with the dual 18650's.  I have both small mods and dual 18650 mods, they're both useful for me.

Thanks to mainly you two I am sorta electronics savvy now, enough to build micro circuits on kapton tape and copper foil tape made for stained glass, it works amazingly on 0603 leds lol..  I put some flux on the copper foil and lay a component on it,  tin my iron and watch it flow into the joint from a good distance away lol.  I giggled like schoolgirl when I put two and two together and it worked better than I expected..  You can even make the kapton as thick as ya want it and layer the copper foil too..  The tape also holds down whatever your soldering too..

I wonder if anyone else thought of it too lol...

Once again minus the batteries and the solder this mod was built 100% free from the parts for mods section=  Priceless

Thanks,

Just did a full testing of the 08100 at 8.4v with 18650's..

~100 Watts @6.9v all day long
No hiccups or warm batts, batts were actually cold honoring the evercool name..

.3Ohm coil  70 watts no sag from the regulator @5v-6.9v   @ 3.9v-4.9v  there is sag .01 after 5v there is none...
Grounded at the 510, using both caps

Voltage Check 5v Output

70Watts 14Amps .3Ohm   0 Sag  5v Ouput
