New Toy Show And Tell
« on: December 12, 2013, 09:22:49 PM »
This is what I received in the mail today.
5  EGO CE-5 Clearomizers with spring loaded post
A mini usb Passthru
A 1000 mah EGO Passthru Battery
A Lenmar 11000 mah battery
2 EGO 510-T Atomizers  for testing juices
This hobby is right next to fishing. I will have to take a picture of the battery I use when I go fishing. I like small with big bang.

Thanks My Freedom Smokes

I got that one part from Amazon it only cost $44.99 11000 mah or 11 ah. I love that thing. Big enough to charge a I-Phone 7 times or so It will way outlast a normal persons lungs.

Thats funny you mentioned if you get lost at Sea. I am checking into solar recharging for my wife in case we have serious power outages or something.
I don't want her to put pot marks on my head.

Hehe, pot marks on your head, that's a good one.  Modern solar cells are pretty efficient these days, a square foot will get about 30 Watts, plenty to charge e-cig batteries at full speed.

Just head to any solar panel supplier.  They make them to order any size you want.  People use them all the time for home power solutions, you know, solar panels on the roof sort of thing.  They output DC so you'll want to charge using a cig lighter adapter kind of setup.

Cool do you think Amazon would be a good start. I notice they use them all the time now for gate openers and fence chargers. I bet Tractor Supply.

You might be able to find a solar USB charger ready to use online, but they tend to be underpowered.  If you want one that can charge several devices at once full speed, I'd put together something myself using a half to a full square foot panel.

I will. It says on the charging input of that 11000 mah battery 1.5 amps max. This is going to be a interesting little project. It is going to be perfect for solar cells.

Just put a regulator on each USB port.  Here's the perfect one.  It's what I use when I make USB cig lighter adapters.  The ones you buy off the shelf always have crappy regulators in them so I make my own.  It's a really good switching regulator, super efficient which is what you need for solar panels.  Wire your panels for 12V or 24V to use that regulator.

I am going to start on this project now.
Just created a account at Mouser Electronics. They are in Mansfield so shipping is going to be cheap.

Yes, their warehouse is in Texas so it's pretty fast for me being in Nevada.  Though one thing to note is the default method for USPS shipping with them is Priority Mail which is more expensive, but they'll use USPS first class if you ask them to.  Just select USPS Priority Mail then ask them to use first class in the box for shipping insturctions.  They always do it for me when I ask.

Yes Modern ways of using solar technolgy is less expensive and more efficient..Even I am using these cells for power generation.
