Don,
How about shelling out $11 a pack. Here in NYC (Manhattan) they tax you to death faster than the cigarettes do. That's why I switched to vaping instead of smoking. Don't miss it a bit. I got really serious about the whole ecig experience and now mix my own ejuices. I made this simple program to mix with. Perhaps I will add additional features and recipes to it. Search for it on Google by entering "Breaktru eJuice Me Up"

UPDATE: NYC is now $13.00 a pack

Wholly molly, $11 a pack? That's hwy robbery. Bet they didn't even use a gun. LOL
I thought $6.50 was crazy. Taxes, Taxes, Taxes. One of the things that you can be sure of. Death and Taxes.
Glad we made the switch from analogs to ecigs. By the way, you have a great ejuice recipe calculator. I use it all the time. I'm going to PM you some recipes so you can add them to your software if that's okay with you.
Thanks Breaktru,
Aromaz

Yes Aromaz, I am saving a bundle without the coffin nails. Now to slow down with my ecig spending. Can't resist a sale.

Sales, tell me about it. I can't wait for my next pay check. Freedom USA has some great sales. The only down side with this site is the shipping takes too long. Don't know why. They use the same USPS as the other sites I order from.

It's been like open season on taxing cigarettes in the US for the last few decades.  It's not the cost of what makers are charging either, it's all taxes.  The thing is, most people say, "screw the smokers, it's a filthy habit anyway," but what they don't realize is that when you allow a government to tax any product like this, who knows they'll go after next, soda pop, sweets?.  Pretty much a Boston Tea Party.  It wasn't okay then, but somehow it's okay now.

$13/pack is just wrong. Especially when most of that cost is taxes. I used to get my cartons at the Indian Reservation tax free for about 1/2 of what I'd pay at a retail store. Think it was about $25 for a carton of Newports and this was just a few years ago. Now even they have skyrocketed the price and I was paying $51 tax included for Winston at Walgreens. About $10 cheaper than at the Res. Sooooo very glad I gave up the stix. Now to try making my own juice. Have all the supplies, just haven't had the time. When I do, I'll be using the eJuice Me Up calculator for sure.

Ahhh! The Co-Op king has made an appearance. I almost wrote you off as MIA. Welcome back "T".
Speaking of Co-Ops, have you followed the "Quality 510 Connectors" thread and the mention of someone starting a co-op for the drawing that CraigHB has designed?

$13 a pack? Holy buckets!! Even up here in North Dakota we still pay 4 bux- for premium brands. Cheaper on the rez of course. Still too darned expensive and that's why I switched to vaping. Besides, I like tasting my food and not hacking up a lung on a daily basis. I also like the fact I can breathe properly again too and don't get winded excersizing.

It's even higher now in NYC. Which is the highest in the nation at $14.50. And... the Feds want to tack on another $0.94 nationally to fund early childhood education programs.
State by State cost

Ain't it nice to breath and taste again?

I swear, the cost of cigs anymore is enough to keep me from smoking.

I don't normally watch televised news (too sensational and too much BS), but I happen to catch a bit on the statistics of smokers in the US.  Supposedly it's 18% now compared to 40% in the 60's.  They went on to say that anti-smoking groups claim high cost is the best was to keep statistics moving in their favor.  You know how politicians love to listen to these kinds of special interest groups so expect cigs to keep getting more expensive.  It's also a good way for governments to fleece the flock and gain revenue from people's unpopular habits.

I don't smoke anymore and it doesn't affect me anymore, but it still irks me to no end.  With all the problems in the world and these people are making a priority of controlling other people's behavior, makes me want to strangle somebody.
