Insulation Question
« on: March 14, 2014, 10:25:58 PM »
I have mounted the OKR-T/10 on a madvapes.com breakout board. I reinforced the back side of the high amperage traces with 18awg on the bottom.

Two questions:
1) Should I insulate the reinforced wires on the bottom from each other. The middle is the ground and the ones on either side are vin and vout.
2) Where the wires enter the breakout board, some wire is showing above the solder joint. Do I need to insulate between the rows/rails on top?

I think the path of least resistance is going to be the wire and this shouldn't be an issue, but I thought I would run it by some knowledgeable people.

Thanks!

Looks good.
1) No need to insulate from each other. Maybe just a piece of Kapton tape to cover the whole bottom

2) The exposed wire length doesn't look like it will reach to touch one another. No need to insulate the rows either.
