Title: PTH08T250W an Interesting Regulator :D
Post by: audiophile_user on January 20, 2015, 04:06:13 AM
I found this Regulator seemingly similar to PTH08T220W, PTH08T221W

PTH08T250W

Maybe someone can shed light on PTH08T250W Regulator? For Confirmation Maybe Breaktru or Mamu can explain :)

Thank You!

:)

PS: I'm little bit in doubt with the schematics that i compared.

Without going too far into the datasheet I can see on the third line of the "Features" description that this board states: "Output Voltage Adjust (0.7 V to 3.6 V)"
This board is not for our use.

The second one looks useable. Datasheet says up to 5.5V 16A

I worked with the PTH08T221W a while back.  It's a nice converter and has a tiny profile, but has a couple of major downsides - it requires 3x input caps and 3x output caps (buying caps cost more than the board lol) plus I couldn't get the UVLO to work.  Also, it requires an NC switch unless you add an N-FET or NPN.
