cant_believe: Helo all, I have a question. I just purchased a 215 mil bottle of High Strength (100mg nic from DIY). Bottle sais 100mg nic 50/50. I called to check and it indeed is 100%, My question is this. Using our chart here if I want to make a batch of 18mg juice on the very top line it would go something like this
Poly 50___________Glyc50____________Nic strength 100 nic for batch would be 18 is that correct? Don't want to poison myself. lol Thanks for your help.

Yep .. that is exactly how it would go. The PG/VE is 50/50 with a overall mic of 100mg per ml. Then in the next field is where you put the 18mg (that is what you wish your batch to be). The program will do the rest for you once you have your flavor(s) plugged in. Remember, most flavors are in a 100 PG base. However, if your flavor is not in a PG base, just click on the first block which will remove the PG/VG % from the mix.

Yup, Mike is correct.
@midnightrom, you mentioned 100%. Don't confuse percentage w/ ml. 100% Nic is 1000ml (pure).

Yes, I questioned them about that and they said the nic is 999.99% strength. Does that sound right to you?

Nic can not be more than 100%. They probably mean 999.99 mg/ml or 99.9%
Post the link to the Nic you bought so we can look at it.

YES. I would not dare handle any Nic that potent.
WARNING! This stuff is dangerous. I do NOT recommend using it.
As Craig pointed out: nobody should be handling it without a full hazmat lab (http://breaktru.com/smf/index.php/topic,439.msg11328.html#msg11328)
Entering the Nic strength on the first line of the calculator would be 999.9mg and NOT 100mg. 100mg is 10% of Pure Nicotine.

Sometimes vendors state the nicotine they use to mix their 100mg (10%) or 50mg (5%) nic base. This is actually good information to know. As a consumer, you want to see they are using the highest quality nicotine available to mix the stuff they sell to customers. This may be where the confusion is coming from.
ecigexpress would not sell pure 100% nicotine to a customer. As a reputable US shop, they just wouldn't do it. To get pure nicotine as a consumer, you would have to use a shady China source. I don't think any domestic sellers would do that without some kind of assurance you are a lab qualified to handle it.

My question was, AI purchased a bottle of high strength nic from ecigexpress that was labled 100%mg nic. I just wanted to be sure I was mixing it right and that it was 99.9% and not 100%. went to vendor and the board here and verified it was indeed 99.9% pure. Thank you all for your help.

I hope you guys mean something like 99.9 mg/ml (basically 100 mg/ml for the calculator)..
99.9% nic is illegal to sell all over the world, except to licensed labs/diluters. Highest legal for regular customers in the US is 100 mg/ml. I think some countries allow up to 300mg/ml.
I would not touch 1000mg/ml (99.9%) nic with a ten foot pole! Even breathing the fumes would be deadly! In fact, on ECF, it's against the rules to even discus it - save for stating that it's against the rules to talk about where to get such nic.
