Rock on Dude, I want to thank you for your fantastic eLiquid calculator. I have all this Nicotine liquid laying around in various strengths and found that you had a feature to mix 3 nic strengths. Wow now I can finally get a grasp on what I am doing. Nice to make consistent strength and flavor juice. Before that I was eyeballing it and it never was right.
-
I have your software for about a month now and really rely on it for all my DIY mixing. Just downloaded and tried your latest version update. I noticed you added a link to your web site recipes that I downloaded and copied them to my eJuice Me Up folder. Wow, great breaktru. Keep the upgrades coming. I will be checking your site for more added features. The best part is it's free. Can't get enough of Free anything.
-
Breaktru, can I send you a recipe?
-
Breaktru, can I send you a recipe?
Yes geothee, please do. Send me your .rec and .rec2 file and I'll add it to the next update version. Attach it to an email to me and send it to ejuice@breaktru.com
-
Keep checking the site for NEW recipes.
-
I've tried all of the ECF's recommended e-Juice calculators and find your calculator the best by far.
I have been checking your eJuice Me Up web page regularly and have installed every upgrade that you released. Keep up the good work breaktru, much appreciated.
-
I found your calculator recommended in several posts on the ECF forum. Now I know why many are of the members are recommending it. This is one sweet calculator, thanks bro. Keep your upgrades coming. Each upgrade is better and better. Don't stop.

A new eJuice Me Up version 9.0.0.0 has been released with an added PV Tuning function. Take the guess work out of selecting the right voltage for your atty. Just enter any two numbers and the rest is calculated automatically. Bam… instant Wattage, Amperage, Resistance and Voltage calculation. I’ve been playing around with my home made V.V. Copper mod trying to find the right sweet spot for days unsuccessfully. In one second time I found what I needed by just entering my 2.7 ohm atty at 2 amps and found an effective combo setting.

What a wonderful innovation. I can't thank you enough. Can't wait to see what else you are going to add to it. I checked out your other software as well. Love it.

Using Flavoring with NO PG or VG.
A new version has been released on 9/2/11 with options to check off ZERO PG/VG for flavoring.
Most name brand flavoring should be 100% PG but the option was added for a couple of brands with no PG/VG.
You can over install it and it will perform an upgrade to your existing version.
You're recipes will remain and not lost.
___________________________________________
Version 10.1.0.0 - 9/02/11
Zero PG/VG for flavoring added
____________________________________________
Version 10.2.0.0 - 9/06/11

_____________________________________________________________________________________________
Version 10.3.0.0 - 9/16/11 to fix a total calculation of eJuice error that was induced in version 10.1.0.0 for zero flavor PG/VG
Seems I missed it with all my testing and was pointed out by a user who did not submit his/her name.
-
Version 11.0.0 has just been released.
If you need to mix/combine Pre-Mixed eLiquids with different PG/VG ratios and would like to figure out what the resulting ratio is, I added a calculation function in the tools menu. Go to Tools, Nic Combine
You can calculate for Nic or ZERO Nic.

Cool! most appreciated. Update performed and working great. Thank you my friend
-
Excellent update. All upgraded and ready for 7 flavor mixing... ;footloose;

This is a great asset in my DIY toolbox and I am grateful for it. It's hard to look a gift horse in the mouth, but I would love to have a search feature in the calculator. There are many recipes that have names not associated with the flavors that they contain. For instance, if I happen to like a peach influence in a tobacco base, I could punch in those 2 ingredients and voila! A list to choose from. I may be the only person that this appeals to, so take it for what it's worth. With or without the search, this is the best choice for me and I thank you for it.

I agree, this is a great calc and I too am grateful for it.
There is a way to search for flavors inside recipe files but it is a third part utility. There is a post Right Here (http://breaktru.com/smf/index.php/topic,205.msg3751.html#msg3751)

Thanks Stephen,
Yes @columbusbk is correct. It is a 3rd party software but works quite well with the recipe files.
The search works well but finding the search word tobacco would be a problem due to many tobacco recipes don't use the term "Tobacco". The tobacco recipes use the type of tobacco flavoring like Cuban Supreme, Cowboy Blend, Maxx Blend, Dark Vapure, Desert Ship, Cigar, French Pipe, Virginia, to name a few.
However, if more contributes of recipes would put the word Tobacco in their recipes it would help.

New version 12.2.0.0 has been released!
Red warning text added for PG and VG when ratios are indicating a minus amount.
There has always been a pop-up warning but I felt an additional warning was needed.

I have released version 13.0.0.0 with the note window visible on the main form. I left the Notepad option for those who have already created notes for their recipes.

Thank you very much for a great user friendly ejuice calculator!
I've been using the old version (portrait mode) for quite a while (btw, loving it) and with the new version being in landscape mode, i have to adjust my print preference to landscape everytime i print. Is there any way i can make ejuice calculator print in portrait mode by default?
Appreciate it!

Hi botakvape and welcome to the forum. Glad you like it.
Perhaps I could look at it and see if I can default the Print Image as landscape.
In the mean time you can use "Print Card"
-
Wow.....super quick reply!
No biggie, its just my minor "ocd" taking charge raged:
But i do appreciate you taking the time to look into it.
Cheers!

I'm thinking about doing mod, RBA, RBT and DIY tutorials and or reviews on youtube. Is it possible for me to show people how this software works or will that infringe on the copyright? I have nothing but good things to say about t his software, and if given the chance I will say them in my videos.
I know this tool is actually simple to use but the first few times were really daunting for me and may be for some others.
I can include a link to the website. :)
-
Very good Thearlaich. Sure a video would be great. Several people have made videos of eJuice Me Up in a few languages. One more would be great.

eJuice Me Up version 15.2 has been released for downloading at https://breaktru.com/ejuicemeup.zip
As per request I added a "TOTALS" line at the bottom of the results.
-
First post here, so let me first thank Breaktru for this great app. I've just started mixing and I think eJuice Me Up is really useful.
Some feedback on the latest update, v15.2: it seems that the line with the totals doesn't add up correctly:
It would be great if that could be fixed in a future release :)
Thanks again!
-
Hi Marco,
Thanks for your input.
Here in the USA we use a dot "." as a decimal symbol. Using a comma "," will give wrong calculations. I need to find a solution for multi country settings which are determined by your computers "Region" setting.
EDIT: Fixed in version 15.4 (03/20/15)
-
Okay, I think I have it ironed out for users using a comma rather than a dot for a decimal separator in version 15.3 just released.
EDIT: Fixed in version 15.4 (03/20/15)
-
Thanks for the update Dave, but somehow things got worse in 15.3. If you look at the screenshot below, you can see that the weight column display high values.
I tried changing the grams setting to use commas for decimals, but they somehow get converted to using a dot for decimals as soon as I confirm the settings. My guess is that it somehow still uses a dot for calculations. Also, the row totals do not add up. Can you take a look at this? Thanks in advance!
-
Download and install the latest version.
The attached image shows my results:
-
Thanks for your quick reply. I just re-downloaded 15.3 from https://ejuice.breaktru.com/ and installed it on top of the previous installation, but the results remain the same:
Is there any data stored in the recipes that can cause this? Or in the default template? Should I do a clean install and recreate the recipes?
-
Looks like the regional PC settings with a comma rather than a dot for decimal places are not working. Although I tried my best to counter that, it seems that my conversion code doesn't work. Sorry Marco, back to the drawing board.
EDIT: Fixed in version 15.4 (03/20/15)
-
No problem, I'll just change the regional settings for now. Thanks for your effort

Hey Marco,
I just may have found a solution.

Looks good to me
Regional settings on my laptop are set to commas for decimals, eJuice Me Up shows dots (which is totally fine by me) and calculations seem correct now :)

Hi Breaktru, and all, just getting back in the DIY game, tried it about 5 years ago with less than seller results, ( lots of candy flavoring in a box somewhere). Actually out of the loop completely as to the E-Cig world.
I have been using an original Lava Tube for years, with crappy, leaky carts.. Stopped into a new B&M and picked up an KangerTech Mega, Holy $hit!!! Long story short did some research, now sporting a IPV Mini 2, with a KangerTech sub tank mini, have a Vapor flask coming, and a IPV 4 on pre order along with a Lemo2 and a Freak show 2...
That wasn't enough, now UPS is showing up daily with NI, Kanthal, pipettes, graduated cylinders Etc..........
Nic, Pg, and Vg, and a bunch of flavorings showing up next week... Was looking through all the calculators and came across a vid on YouTube of yours..looks like all Iam looking for and can't beat the price, good as my Credit Card is worn a lil thin....
So my question, when I make a recipe is it easy to attach a note to it, that's right there as a sticky note icon, for recording steeping times, taste description Etc?
Thanks much for your hard work.... After the next cc bill hits I will make every effort to hit your Pay Pal button..
-
Hey Rug Guy, Welcome to the forum.
Looks like your real serious about getting back in the game
The Video is old so it doesn't show the note area that is now displayed on the opened form window. You can make notations for each recipe.
-
Thanks for the wicked fast reply, and that's awesome that it has the note feature! And yea I tend to go a little crazy when I get into a new hobby, drives my wife crazy, she did like the wood fired pizza oven jag I went on a few years ago... Thanks again for all you do..

Different cause of error. This error is generated when the gram weights are missing when creating new recipes.
With the version you have now, when you receive the error, click Continue and then……..
Go to “Tools”, “Gram Set” and click “OK”.
Weigh out a ml of each liquid and add the gram weight by going to the menu item "Tools", "Gram Set".
If you do this for your "Default" then when you create recipes that data will be intact and you will not get an error.
Update:
Version 15.5.4 should fix any errors.

Thank You Sir. That takes care of it.
I'm using 15.4.3.0.

Ah! Thanks for this. Was just scratching my head over the same problem (Conversion from string "" to type 'Double' is not valid). Clicking continue and ignoring it worked, but of course, didn't make it go away. I have latest version installed but encountered the error message when editing existing recipes that came with the program, saving the edit, and then reopening them. Doing the above fix and re-saving it sorted it out.
Will try to remember to do the Tools/Gram_Set/OK when editing recipes that came with program.
Thanks for such a great utility! :rockin smiley: :thankyou:

Hi,
I am about to start making my own juice and have downloaded the calculator as reviews state it is the best. I have had a look at it but have a question.
The kit I have bought has PG and AG (with 20% water). How and where do I input the AG in the calculator? Do I put 20% in the 4th (Water/Vodka/PGA) line. The rest seems fairly straightforward.
I would appreciate any advice.

Hi Ed and welcome to the forum.
AG (Aqueous Glycerine) is diluted VG (Vegetable Glycerine). The dilution is distilled water.
Where the calculate calls for VG, I would substitute the VG for AG.

Is there an area where feature requests can be made?
I've wished for a long, LONG time now that the program would allow for a filename(s) to be appended in a command line..
So I can use my file manager, Directory Opus, to allow double-clicking on a recipe file and have it start up EjMeUp with that recipe loaded. Basically, to allow for scripting on a 'command line'.
... And also it would be nice if the version number would be shown on the main page, without having to click on the changelog. I thought it used to show that..??
Thanks such an AMAZING program!! I hope to be able to donate at some point, when I have some income.

Hey Hoggy. Welcome to the forum.
You can email me about feature requests. I get a ton a week.
Sorry but at this time, the only way to access a recipe is through the software.
Version number will be added to the main form in a future update. Thanks for your input.

need help with diy e-liquid calutalor

Howdy ya'll.... I am very new to this forum posting thing.... I don't even know if what i am typing will get posted.... and please, if I am doing something wrong or in the wrong area.... straighten me out.
So here's my dilemma. The nicotine I am using is 100mg in 50ml of 100% VG base. the problem I have is with the calculation of how much nicotine to add, in order to achieve my desired strength. i prefer a 6mg strength ejuice. I put that number into the calculator, but i am confused by the ml that i am supposed to add to the juice in order to achieve the 6mg strength. And am I to understand that the nicotine added to a recipe is a "weight" rather than a "volume" of nicotine? Looking at the bottle of nicotine, 50 ml contains 100 mg of nicotine, right? So wouldn't 1 ml = 2 mg of nicotine? my confusion comes from putting my desired strength into the left side of the calculator and seeing a result on the right side that just doesn't add up to me. I would greatly appreciate if someone might be able to enlighten me as to how this should be looked at.
Thank You

The strength of nicotine is expressed in mg/ml. So regardless whether you have 100 or 50 ml 100% VG base, the amount of nicotine still remains 100mg/ml, as is the case with your nicotine base. To get to the desired amount (6mg/ml) you have to dillute it with zero nic base. Whether you want to mix by drops (least accurate), milliliters (less accurate) or weight (most accurate, but requires a trustworthy scale able to weigh accurately to at least two decimals behind the comma = 'hundreds of grams'), is up to your choice.
If you look at the main screen and you choose drops or milliters, just can just start filling in the fields. If you deceide to mix by weight, you'll have to open Tools > Grams set. As mentioned before, you'll need an accurate scale to do this. Default values can be found here (http://www.vapingunderground.com/threads/guide-to-mixing-by-weight.22891/). For flavors I use 1 gram/ml, just like water, unless specified differently.
In the screenshot attached you can see I entered your nicotine base (100mg/ml), the desired strength of nicotine in mg/ml in the result of your efforts. Now it's up to you to decide how much e-liquid you want to make (10ml in the screenshot, good starting point when you're new to mixing), which flavor(s) you want to add and in which amount (percentages!) and the bottom of the screen the ratio between PG/VG. Once you filled out the needed values, hit Calculate and EJuiceMeUp wiill do it's magic and will show your ingredient list and it's quantities on the right side of the screen.
Keep in mind that most flavors are PG-based, as PG carries flavor better than VG. Also 100% VG will be to thick for most tanks, so if your mixing for drippers, no issue, but if you're using tanks, you'll have to dillute the VG because otherwise it can't flow through the system. VG is quite a viscid fluid, so the ratio depends on how you want to use it and of course personal preference. Does this help you any further? Welcome to the wonderful world of DIY mixing!
;cheers;
