Title: sub ohm coils and batteries

now,as most you know i am not that great on doing amps volts and the like,but i do know the basics of not blowing my face :)

on sub ohm coils i know that always use good and decent batteries.

but what i do not get,in terms of like how it works

lets say i built a 0.4 ohm coil,

all i know is it hits different if i use an aw imr battery compared if i use is on a efest battery..
i know it has something to do with amps...
but with vv,how does that translate?

pleanning to buy those efest 1600 mah with a "claimed" 30amp discharge.

It's kind of hard to explain it if you don't have good grasp of Ohm's law.  Let me say it in a way that does not involve math;

Higher drain batteries deliver power better.  Since a mech mod does not have a regulator to compensate for any losses that may occur during delivery, a battery that delivers power better will provide better atomizer peformance.

Generally, a higher quality battery delivers power better even if drain limits are similar.  This may be why you see a difference between the AW battery and the eFest battery.

With a regulated mod, the regulator compensates for any loss in power delivery.  You'll always get the selected setting delivered to the atomizer unless you are exceeding the limits of the regulator.

This is why you don't need a 40 Amp regulator for a sub-Ohm coil mod.  A 10 Amp regulator will take you down down to 300 mOhms while providing similar atomizer performance to a mechanical mod.  Power delivery is pretty dismal for atomizers that low in a mech.  A regulator compensates for power loss so it does not need those extreme current outputs.
