Today i failed
« on: January 08, 2014, 01:10:33 PM »
So this is my dont know how long exactly but i have been vaping for a while,
i started like when indulgence mods were hot,cr123 batteries were exquisite and trustfire batteries were the holy grail of vapers..

today I failed vaping...
not sure how and why...

i have a very decent set up..

m16 sentinel clone,
igo-l,agat2.
both are microcoiled cotton,
both dual coil set ups, a 2.5mm airhole on both caps..
rated at 0.2 ohms..
batteries are both efest 30amps..

vaping anywhere from 3mg of nic to as high as 9..
some are commercial juices most are diy..

how do i troubleshoot myself?
i enjoy clouds..
but today i immensely failed..

i left my set up at home..and smoked at the office...
all that years progress out the window..

sad part is i enjoyed smoking...no feeling if disgust or whatsoever..

how do i go back to vaping??

thanks..

;hairpull; don't feel bad. We have all been there. I was vaping for two years, absolutely no analogs at all and I was doing great, didn't even crave a analog. Then disaster struck, stupidly I let myself run out of good batteries and was facing a week for delivery of new ones. I figured, "if I just buy a pack of analogs then my batteries will be in and I can go right back to vaping. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. It was like an alcoholic saying I'll just have one drink. It can't be done. I went back to smoking analogs for about two months but pressure from the Lord, my friends and love I quit the analogs and went back to strictly vaping. Don't feel defeated, you did not fail, you just had a temporary set back. Pick yourself up from your boot straps and remember why you went to vaping in the first place and I am sure you will be fine. Good luck to you. I will pray for you now.

I've managed to keep vaping for 3 some years without any lapses.  And I loved my ciggies, smoked like chimney.  I've come close to packing it in with various frustrations, but have not had that happen.

Vaping is not an "easy" alternative to smoking.  It's so much easier to pull a cig out of a pack and light it than mess around with juice, atomizers, and batteries.  Just get back on that horse that threw you and stock up a little better on vaping gear.

I probably wouldn't feel bad about it either.  It's the health considerations that mainly keep me from smoking and those are not always in your face.  Though being free of the smell and the mess is a pretty big motivator.

i guess all i needed was you guys thanks to every one...
its not a bunch be the encouraging words were helpful..

one thing i learned from this experience was support sytem..

i mean my wife is not exactly supportive on vaping...

just to share i guess

we had this talk before i posted here..

its been 2 days that i leave my gear at my house nad smoked..
2 days

on those 2 days..
this kinda stuck on with me...

wife:you smell like ashtray again...and you left your gear..
me:been smoking again today...
wife; you spent too much on gear and that vape of your...smoking is cheaper..
go back to smoking and sell those...
me: speechless.................

wife is not a smoker,,
i tried everytime she asked why I smoked,or anyone else for that matter,,,

is it really that hard to explain to non smokers...why we smoke or vape?

well..

really thanks...after reading your comments...
at home picked up my gear again..
and now vaping..
for some reason i don't find it as fun as it used to be...

Wow, and I thought I had it tough....my hubby supports my vaping but he isn't very supportive in reality since he still smokes those stinky things in the RV and hacks up a lung for a half hour every morning, waking me up at his ungodly hour and interrupting my sleep, which doesn't help matters any either. Definitely harder to stay on the vape when the ole man still smokes those things. Blech. Hopefully my latest creation of e-juice will get him off the cigs and onto something a bit healthier-- and quieter!!!

But how do u stand it and stay on the vape when he Is still smoking those stinky Marbs? Some days I really really need a moral boost to keep going.

Bad deal, I shall be snooty and not hug that whom is stinky.

I have a recipe for ya

Pick up a njoy king pick up two njoy kings they will get ya thru any relapse.

I can almost guarantee it -- whenever those feelings are strong pick up njoy and believe you me they will soon be diminished.

BTW you didn't fail but your stinky now.   :laughing2:

 I know how that feels,

wife ain't that supportyive either and here in the office only I vape,,,literally..

thou i can vape on my work station,i still go downstairs to be with colleagues and chat,
i know its hard, but i kinda just vape away and them smoking...
thou i must admit no one really cares here if i smoked or vaped,,,

what keeps me going?
well, there is a reason why my vape receipts adn a photo of my kid,are stuck to my fridge to be reminded of the cost i ve incurred and for what i am douin them for..

there are days, that i wished my rig was a simple rig that i could improve on ot get stronger th..or something...
ghehehhehe

also to the guy that mentioned njoy..
good for you mate if that works for you,..
on my end,,,its hard to be on those..
i'd rather light up i guess...

once you've kinda had sub ohm's right its ahrd to go back to anything less to it..

Agree, the stuff I use normally works really well.  If I had to go back to one of those basic Chinese jobs, I'd probably end up smoking.

They are not your average cigalikes, they are almost identical to analogs in mouth feel, taste, and they knock ya down with the nic dosage.

If you have not tried them, try it..  Cheaper than analogs and they plume very well.

Whatever lol  ;cheers;

There are people that get by just fine with one your basic Chinese e-cigs.  Though people like us hanging out on a modders forum are always pushing the envelope of vaping performance.  We're going to find anything but the best peforming setups inadequate.  So, it comes down to the person and what they need out of their device.  Some people just don't need all that much.

I was answering your question.  Looks like you forgot it yourself--..

I vape 50 watt mods, have 400 watts to use -- never use it but if so needed its there  freaked_out:

You bought analogs when njoys are really close to an analog and cheaper last all day and will keep you on the path when you leave your rig at home.
Matter of fact their net nic is so good that I am still trying to copy it, it is agreed by many being a caviar of net nics and they are not giving the recipe to noone lol..

Know that all nic is not equal and njoys are the bomb for when you leave forget your vaping rig at home
Blu's etc are for light vapers njoys are for us

I was not questioning your cloud makers at home

i see mate!

sorry if it caused friction,my previous post..

thing was at that time..
i intentionally left my mod...
not really forgetting it..

i do agree on nic levels thou i have 7 juices @ 3mg na dall of them would have different effects :)

but thanks for continuing on with the discussion might help someone who is standing in my shoes...

i guess aside from the gear, clouds, various flavors..
we still need form time to time to reminded why we vape

Yep the NJoy is King  :D  The only problem is 8 bucks each. It would take a least two to make it a day for me. If they were a couple bucks..... Hell yeah! Great emer. back up though.

I bought a NJoy king a couple of weeks ago, it was on promotion and only cost £1 for postage.
I haven't tried it, I've just put it in my car just in case I'm ever without my usual gear.

I never want to smoke a cigarette again, not because I'm against them particularly but because I know how much I enjoyed them when I did smoke.

I started vaping on February 3 this year. Two weeks in my gear broke (was a cheap blister pack) I had been analog free for 4 days. Bummed a cig from a coworker and have not been able to get rid of them since. I currently vape and do stinkers. Smoking is a very strong addiction and it has been very helpful to read that I am not the only one that has struggled. I is time to set my mind to quitting stinkies for good ! :rockin smiley:

Stick with it memo. It takes a strong will to want to stop smoking. Once you find a good performing mod and tank it will be easier. Perhaps increase the nicotine level of your juice and eventually and gradually cut back the strength.

You need good reliable gear and plenty of backups so keep at it and once you get things sorted out with your vaping equipment it should be easier to avoid the ciggies.  It does take some will to stay away from them, but nothing like quitting with an aid like pills, patches, or gum.  And yes smoking is a crazy strong addiction, it's not just the nicotine, there's something else in there that makes them like that.  You get away from those chemicals with vaping.

Best of luck.

:) Thanks for the advice! I DIY my own e-liquid and just made a new bottle at 18mg/ml. We shall see.

its been a while,so to all who has been experiencing going back to smoking its all right..
you can do it too,,,

since i posted this yes there were times i went back to smoking, either no gear like just recently,or had no money for ejuices...

either way just get back on it,

if you vape then smoke, just vape and smoke,
eventually you will feel the urge to just vape, dunno why but it happens,

I started vaping on February 3 this year. Two weeks in my gear broke (was a cheap blister pack) I had been analog free for 4 days. Bummed a cig from a coworker and have not been able to get rid of them since. I currently vape and do stinkers. Smoking is a very strong addiction and it has been very helpful to read that I am not the only one that has struggled. I is time to set my mind to quitting stinkies for good ! :rockin smiley:

Feb 11th for me that the day I stop being a smoker i cant say it was the last day i ever smoked an analog, that when i got serious about it. I had tired Blu a year or so back, that was a joke and put them away and forgot about e-cigs. Was a easy 2 pack a day of Reds smoker.  Then on feb 11th i went to the hospital and had a nice 9 day stay nothing to do with smoking, well that not true but not linked to smoking.

I knew smoking was killing me i gave e-cigs another shot, the blu's just were not cutting it, i was on the patch for 2 weeks that was not cuttng it i was smoking as well. Then i found Vaping and ever thing changed. Vaping saved my life. I do really believe that. My wife does not understand she want me off Nic altogether. She is better about Vaping now, I vaped in the car on a long drive the other day she said not a word !!It's all very exciteing, i think alot of people just dont understand how big a deal vaping is. So over the next month i bought all kinds of Vaping junk had maybe 3 or 4 pack of analog in the first month. But after i got my "china junk" a memesis clone and kayfun lite clone and found twisted coils @ .5 ohms. the rest was history. It been about 6 or 7 weeks now since my last smoke, i feel great am loving life and ready for another 30 year of it !!!

For me I Vape 24mg but i do keep a bottle of 36mg ( am all DIY now) for the  stronger  cravings. now its time to Mod LOL

Congrats Rocker:  Keep up the good thoughts.  Don't worry about the Nicotine.  You can ween down slowly if that's what you want to do.  I don't know if you are aware of the facts about nic.  It IS NOT the villin it is made out to be.  Almost everyone gets nicotine each day.  It comes from the nightshade family of plants.  That would be tomatoes, eggplant, and asparagus to name a few.  So, that person sitting next to you in the burger joint, talking about how bad nicotine is for those smokers and eating his burger with the big slice of tomato, is comsuming his own nicotine as he speaks.  Of the 4985 chemicals in smoke, the only one that is not a carcinogen is nicotine.  It is a mild vasor constrictor at the worst.  Again   Congrats!

Just thought I would type a few words of encouragement here to those that are struggling with quitting those cancer sticks. First off here is my current medical condition. I have already had a triple bypass (directly related to smoking) at the age of 44 (young right), the day I got out of the hospital I was smoking again. (Stupid right?) as we speak I have been diagnosed with COPD, kidney disease, blocked coratared ( sp) artery on the left side, the right side is partially blocked, I have six stints in various arteries leading to the heart. That's jus the main problems. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE AILMENTS ARE DIRECTLY CAUSED BY SMOKING.. About 3 1/2 yrs ago I found out about e-cigs. At that point I had already tried everything on the market and prescriptions  that claimed to make you stop smoking and had horrible results. One of the scripts the doctor gave me actually gave me vivid nightmares.  I decided, what the heck, I've already tried everything else so why not give this e-cigarette thing a shot. I went in to this with absolutely no intention of it working at all, normally that is a definite way to fail before you start right? Well 3 1/2 yrs ago I got my first shipment of ecigs. I got 5 ea 510 batteries, 5 fillable tanks that held about 1ml of juice and a charger. For those of you who have been around long enough you know what I am talking about. The skinny short tube like batteries that glowed red when you took a hit. (Off topic, man have we come a long way.)

This time I prayed to the Lord which is what I should have been doing all along. Please don't sell God short. He is a wonderful God who wants to help all those who believe upon His Son Jesus Christ and receive salvation. I firmly believe that God and the e-cigarett made me stop smoking immediately. This is no lie from some crazy guy, after all those years of killing myself with smoke I took my first hit of the thing. What I am about to tell you is true, with one exception that was the last time I smoked and never went back. I feel as though I am still smoking because it satisfies all the needs of a smoker. First off, a large part of making it is to satisfy that habit of having that critical cig. you know the ones I'm talking about, that cig right after a meal, that first cig (cigs) with the morning coffee, all the triggers that make you want a cig. These are satisfied 100 percent by ecigs. The throat hit you get as a smoker is there also depending on what you are using for juice and the amount of nic you use. I have now been smoke free for approximately 3 1/2 yrs. THE EXCEPTION AND A WARNING. I did slip once about a year ago. I was running low on supplies and got my order in too late so I ran out of product. I decided to buy a pack of stinkies and thought they would hold me over until my shipment arrived. I did receive my order but ended up smoking two packs before I totally quit again. Two words of advice, you can't switch back and forth from e-cig and stinkies and never allow yourself to run out of product.

I hope this has helped some of you who are having a difficult time right now.  May God Bless you and yours.

Someone at work asked if vaping really worked, well it's day 30 today. We talked about quitting smoking for a bit and when I told him vaping offers one thing the others can't, the pacifier effect, it was like a light went on in his head.

There's zero doubt how effective vaping is as a quit smoking aid.  A lot of smoking is the satisfaction of the physical action which vaping provides.  Now vaping is not 100% harmless, there is some irritation caused in the respiratory system by the vapors, but for sure it's orders of magnitude less hazardous.  Anyway, it's kept me of the cigs for over 4 years now.

I call it the pacifier effect.

Been three weeks for me now and I am doing very well. In that I have not smoked analogs at all. We all know of many things that aren't around us now that we dont smoke conventional cigs. Yes, we do smell better and now we don't burn holes in our clothes. One thing I noticed is I have a MUCH larger selction of shirts at the clothiers because I no longer have to have a pocket. In years past I was adament to the lady "Do NOT buy me any shirt witbout a pocket". Now, I wear shirts without pockets and have already purchased several stylish shirts that were simply unavailable in a pocket version. When having a hard time think of all the benefits not just the health implications.   Bruce

In Dec of 2012 I decided I would quite smoking for the sake of my soon to come daughter.   I had quit a few times.  Trying anything from patches, lozenges, to prescription meds.  Someone said earlier about the vivid nightmares.  I had vivid dreams that were awesome.  Luckily they were never nightmares lol.

So when I was down to my last cig in a pack I went and bought an over priced ego and never bought another pack of cigs again.....well I did buy a pack but that was out of habit and because of the fact that I forgot I quit.   The ego didn't really do the job for me but I made it work.  Moved on to a vamo...still not enough for me.  Finally settled on sub ohm mechanicals.  Whats bad Is i was running .2-.3 ohm coils and still vaping 20mg nic to get by.  I know thats a lot and most people will tell me I was crazy BUT it worked for me.   I am now down to ~6mg nic.

To this day I haven't slipped but I can see where it would be easy to especially If you forget gear.  I have forgotten juice before.  Its one rough hour of driving to work when I do but I have motivation.  A 16 month old little girl.   Luckily I have a vape store close to work so I can get some overpriced juice there to hold me over till I get home and get my bottle or make some more.

So I guess what i'm trying to say is when you are in a tough time try to find some sort of motivation to help you along the way.  Whether it be your children, your health, the smell, or whatever it is....make it personal.  Its a lot easier when it is.  IF you are bored with what you are vaping try something new.  A new mod, atomizer, juice, or anything that will bring some life back to it.

I've done a lot of "addictive" things in the 34 years of my life.  Trust me on that but I have to say nicotine is by far the hardest addiction I have ever had to tame.

;cheers; and good luck to anyone out there fighting the constant struggle!
