My latest
« on: September 16, 2015, 08:41:34 PM »
It uses my AVR PWM VW board. 1000mAh 3S power.

Dimensions 100x40x47mm - ~4x1.6x1.8 inches.

This one's mine :). The fruits of my labours.

I'm really pleased with it, the board performs superbly. 1 ohm dual coil currently running at 70W in my Goblin Mini.

Cheers. I'd never have got the boards sorted without input from the helpful people on here.

I think the battery's going to last me a couple of days easy.

A quick pic of the internals. I wish I'd wired up the tact switches before I installed them, but I'll know for next time. I might re-design with the switches on the board sometime in the future too.

I had to move the position of the wiring to exit in the centre rather than the side of the LiPo, then re-wrap it (I used a clear wrap).

Nice mod definitely wanna see screen lit if you can get in a pic..

Whats the specs?  Frq, Amp limit?

That lipo looks dangerously close to the 510 and one sharp drop and well ya know it's not much to pierce it..  :yes"

Can ya get a shrink wrap split, --something,  just in case..

I've moved the positive wire so it comes up from underneath instead of from the side, so no chance of puncturing on the 510. Thanks for noticing that :).

Main Specs:
PWM frequency 122Hz
Measurable amp limit 146A
Auto detection of 2S/3S battery
Wattage range auto-adjusts according to coil/battery capability.

UI:
Splash screen. Wattage shown is max amps * low voltage cuttoff

Main screen max resistance fuzziness

Main screen min resistance fuzziness (another mod in case you didn't notice :))

Settings
It'll calculate the internal resistance of the battery pack you're using - useful for keeping track of pack life
Set the pack C rating and mAh to get the range of allowable wattages - if you set C to 0 then you can put in an arbitrary amp limit.

You can also set the low voltage cut off (this also affects the max wattage)
screen timeout
finally fuzziness set 1-3 for number of decimal places in the ohms reading or 'very' to give smartass text for various ohms ranges.

Quiescent current is 20.5mA with the screen on, and 1.4mA with it off.

Kaboom there goes the dyamite, winner winner chicken dinner; thus far that is one of the better best of mcu mods, really cool.  Whats it say when you put in .05-.09  "man u crazaay"  or "beast mode," that is really kewl..

Your implementation of batts limitation is a great innovation, surprised it hasn't shown up in other mods yet..  --I'm not sure if the dna200 has it but ya thats uber sanitization of mental ease when at a concert and you put it on fog mode..

I just got into electric bicycles and modding,  motor controllers are slim picking and  expensive..  So cool to know if I do the knowledge steps I can make a really kewl high amperage unit without spending 1k or more..  Also handily in a small size, the controllers of yesterday were ginormous..  E cigs fault I baste my brain beyond what I wanna...

The fastest motorcycle superbike in the world is an electric motorcycle its so fast even seasoned riders scream like lil gurls" when going full throttle lol..   The Lightning 218..  Just info on todays electronics batts awesome..  My bike I just wanna hit ~60mph,  scary fast on a bicycle,  easily done if I make the controller  otherwise too expensive..

Very fuzzy messages are:
No atomiser - "There's a bit missing"
> 2ohms - "That's sooo 2009"
between 1 and 2 ohms - "Overcast"
between .5 and 1 - "Cloudy"
between .2 and .5 - "Fogged out"
< .2 - "Whoa DUDE"

I thought that by using the battery specs and the lowest voltage it'll fire at, you can have a consistent vape through the whole of the charge at max power if you want to. Not that I'll ever use that much power.

As far as PWM drivers go, so long as you use a mosfet driver for the switching I don't see why you couldn't make a controller that would supply as much power as you'd ever need for 20 quid. Arduino makes things super easy too once you've got over the initial learning curve.
