SDI tax
« on: November 15, 2008, 07:51:37 AM »
Customer........
I am using your software to set up payroll for a household employee. The State of CA requires that I add none cash wages earned to the base for her SDI tax. Example She make $600 a week and receives meals valued at $59.15 and Lodging valued at $221.50. Your software will show that SDI tax is 5.40 which under normal circumstances would be correct but because they require me to tax her food and lodging the SDI tax should actually be $7.92.
My question is there an easy fix or will I manually have to make this adjustment.

My reply..........
You can use a flat rate by unchecking the "Use Base" box on the State Tax form.
