Mechanical Switch Pictures and Diagrams
« on: November 08, 2011, 10:30:11 AM »
I'm having trouble coming up with ideas for a mechanical switch for my epipe.  Would greatly appreciate any pictures of existing mechanical switches on mods or basic drawings showing this kind of setup.

Thanks.

I don't have a picture but the best way to think of a mechanical switch. Take a pen that you have to push down and clicks to keep the pen out then click again to put the pen away.

You need away to connect the two + or - to complete the circuit . Maybe spring loaded even magnetic . Example look at the ggts switch nuts bolts washer and spring .

I have been working on a wooden  mechanical switch for my mod just not having luck with the size , I will be trying magnetic as soon as the magnets get in

There is a post over at ECF that SuperSteph made for his mechanical switch on a mini mag mod:

here is a diagram that SuperSteph drew of the button.
the RED is rivet #1
Blue is Rivet #2
Gray is the spring.
Green is the "washer" press fit in.
Orange is the screw that holds the two rivets together.
Black is the housing for the switch.
