2x18650 vv mod (TTS)
« on: December 08, 2011, 09:04:07 AM »
Hi thought I'd give this it's own post my latest mod The Total Styl3r (TTS) made using the Ti 08100w regulator module with an ego-t connector so ALL 510 atty friendly. Discrete led hidden behind the ego button like the original, Led screen for voltage on the front and a trimmer pot on top to adjust. Finished in Maroon carbon fibre 3d vinyl. Voltage range is 3.39-6.50 batteries in series so 8.4v off the charger so good run time. Thanks to breaktru for the circuit, as implemented on one of his tube mods.
seasons greetings

Wow, beautiful work.  Very nice looking.  Too bad you can't get an enclosure that really is carbon fiber, but the texture and color is cool looking.   That's a lot of run time too.  I mainly use a mod right now that has 5Ah, pretty much the same, runs forever on a charge.

Hi guys Little update on this mod got my new batteries only cheap Ultrafire 3000mah, 2 out of the 4 were duff, more about those in a minute. Anyway i have been vaping on this non stop, and i mean non stop, i can't put it down. It is the best device i have used so far, fantastic vapour production, great throat hit my wife has called it my dummy as it is always in my mouth,,,hehe. Right run time 2 full days on super heavy vaping, 6 am to about midnight and that from these 2 low end batteries, i think it is pretty good. This has now become my primary device in fact i don't use anything else at the moment. I'm now working on the same unit but batteries in parallel using the Ti 04050c so you can use 1 or 2 batteries. Will put comments up on that when complete and see how it compares. I have done a couple of Ti 04050c booster mods but only single battery so no comparison yet. About the batteries i have had this a couple of times with these batteries now they say fully charged but as soon as you connect any resistance across them they just shut down.
merry Christmas to you all

Here are some more pictures of them as the originals were corrupted. This is the TTSv2 with a mosfet circuit ( thanks to Dave for the help on that) so i can have a small tactile switch instead of the big horn switch. Even though there was a lot more circuit and components it seemed to fit so much easier and a cleaner finish inside. Still the only device i use it does exactly what i want and such a good run time 3-4 days at heavy vaping......

cheers

Excellent Styl3r and cool cover wraps. I like the size of the pot knobs as well  :rockin smiley:
Thank you for posting the new photos.

Yeah the pot knobs were longer but i cut them down and either wrapped them or sprayed them. The last pic ( the black one) shows the prototype with a flush tactile switch but had problems with reliability so went with the slightly raised ones. Which could of done with being a little more newton force for the actuation, as if you put it down on it's face it activates. But hey not to much of a problem....
cheers for all the help on the mosfet circuit, and i am glad i went with the isolation switch in the mosfet circuit so i could have a smaller isolation switch at the top.

thanks
