Zener Voltage cut off questions.
« on: November 30, 2012, 12:10:11 AM »
Ok I have read and understand the set up for the OKR chips.

My experience with that set up used on an evercool mod , was so so. It fired about half the time.

My question is, can a zener be used inline with the input to "cut out" at the said voltage?

Would you set this up with just the reverse voltage?

Zener to gound to resistor to +?

Is a resistor reguired?

I know when set straight it drops the volts down to its setting, I have read that when the input voltage drops below the zener voltage it just allows it to flow.

Thanks in advance, there just seems to be way to much information out there and by the end of a page read I feel more confused then before I read them :)
