PTH08T241WAD for VV ?
« on: June 29, 2012, 03:54:15 AM »
How do you think ?
http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/pth08t241w.pdf
5.5Vout/10A will be sweet vaping power :)
Also:
1.Is it posible to use feature like pin 11 "Inhibit" to act like "touch switch"
2.Is it reasonable and able to use out pins for Remote Sence or in case of atty this is... stupid :)

1. Yes. Look at page 24, Fig 23 of the datasheet. They recommend using a Mosfet BSS138:  BSS138 - Mouser

2. Remote Sense from the datasheet:
"The sense input allows the regulation circuit to compensate for voltage drop between the module and the load. For optimal voltage accuracy, +Sense must be connected to VO, very close to the load."
For an atty/carto ??? I don't see a benefit in using it.

It requires external input and output caps.

Ouput voltage is limited to 5.5V.

As already mentioned, the features that offer improved dynamic response and tighter control are of no significance in powering an atomizer.

It's expensive.  It lists for over $20 on Mouser.

The Murata OKR-T modules are much better.  They are cheaper, smaller, go up to 6V output, and have onboard input/ouput caps.

I second that OKR is a better option but if it's a sample what the heck ;cheers;
