That's the problem with SS wicks they're too temperamental. You might find it works great this time and then works crappy the next time. I run a sleeve on mine, works great every time and its really consistent. I think you're talking about the same atomizer I'm using. Been using them for several months now and I really like them. Did some some modification though. I'm using the original wick hole which is 2.4mm. I roll the wicks so they fit with a little clearance in the hole and with the sleeve on there, the coil diameter is about 3mm. Wicking speed is always excellent and flavor is super clean, best atomizer I've used.
I can probably send a little your way Dave and fsors if want to try it. One of the guys on that other forum I hang out at is really good at the doing the bare wicks. He tried it and wasn't overly impressed. A few other people have said it was a huge improvement. So, it's pretty subjective. I'm really happy with it anyway.
I'll send you a foot or two when I get a chance, should still have your addy in my personal messages. Let me know if want some Dave.
I have been making and vaping genisis atties since Jan 2012 and Dave you just need more practice although Craig's method looks very intriguing I have never used it and if I can learn to do it consistently I believe you can too. Though if Craig wants to share a small amount of the big rope of his, I sure wouldn't be opposed. Nice video and post link Craig!
I have tried my hand at the fish wicks and All I have is a pile of broken wicks. Dang these things are so fragile
I'll be interested to hear how that works for you. Works brilliantly for me, but these things are pretty subjective so people have to try things for themselves.
Shows us some images of your converted SS Nova, D....pleeeease.
