Cheap soldering station
« on: June 27, 2013, 05:35:54 AM »
I've only ever done mechs before and just discovered my cheap a$$ rat shack soldering iron isn't going to cut it any more. Can y'all recommend a good soldering station for $30ish ?

Personally, I'm happy with my Weller WES51 station.
Take a look at: http://breaktru.com/smf/index.php/topic,370.0.html

As far as a cheap one for 30 bucks, can't recommend one. Sorry dude

you can buy two but I use a weller also  raged:

Nice find.
Looking at a couple of the customer reviews I would avoid it. I guess you get what you pay for.

Thanks guys. couple decent ones in my price range. I've been impressed with weller so far, so I'll probably go that route
