The Crum-Dubh Build.
« on: May 23, 2014, 07:20:09 PM »
This will be a little video log for the device I Am building which I am calling the Crum-Dubh.

So here is the first part where I explain what I want to do and show off the parts list.

If you have any suggestions or comments feel free.  I will add the videos to this thread as I go along with the build.

Right then suffered a tragedy. . . got a muscle spasm and dropped my board right onto the corner of the screen breaking it.  scared:

After moping around for a couple of days and alternating between despair and rage I am getting back to it.

I have managed to get hold of another board (time to foam coat my work area while I await its arrival).

So should be having a second try come the weekend -changing boxes this time though to avoid some of the stupid mistakes I made for myself last time - going for a probe case with rounded edges but should work much better (and easier).

WOW! Sorry to hear about that. What a bummer. We all have out moments.
Glad you got back on the horse  :laughing2:

BTW: the videos are not showing up. They are marked "Private".

Update - I logged on to youtube and was able to see the video

Verey, so sorry to hear that.
I know how you feel.
I bricked a Dlynx module by pulling a solder pad off by dropping it.

So the Crum-Dubh project died hard.

Resurrection has miraculously occurred however and watch for the next thread on the subject which should get called Elric/Von Bek. . .

That's pretty cool, Verey.
That looks like the same type of box my Blue Ring Tester uses.
