my 1st couple of boxes, DNA and SX350
« on: June 21, 2014, 04:08:00 PM »
1st build using hammond box and DNA 30
telescopic 510 to house 16mm atties internally and larger atties externally.

2nd box is SX350 in custom box.
510 is on a slider, houses 16mm intenally and any size externally, mod fires by pressing the front panel.

Two great boxes there. Very different indeed, you clearly put a lot of thought into those..

Those are great looking. A lot of thought and hard work went into those. Its always a nice feeling holding something that you created yourself :)

PTC fusing is worth the small effort to wire them in. Yes, use them.

On the DNA 30 it's a total hold current rating of 12A. Two 6A in parallel for a single battery or two 3A in parallel for each battery.
The SX350 has firmware upgrades so.....
30W version: 12.5A holding fuse rating, two 6A in parallel will do for a single battery.
50W version: 25A holding fuse rating, two 12A in parallel will do for a single battery.
