Looking for Bottom feed, mechanical, box mod making tutorial
« on: September 14, 2014, 04:03:40 PM »
1st, an apology. I am sure that there are questions like this posted over and over by the new members.
This is not an excuse but I did try to find what I was looking for before making this post.
Chances are the answer was probably right in front of me.

I would like to make a simple, mechanical, bottom fed box mod.
I am new as a vaper (3mo+) and am using a Reo Grand.
I am good at wood working but my eyes roll backwards in my head when it comes to electronics.
I just want to make my own mod for my own use and the enjoyment of making it.

1st, I don't know the names of all the components needed or where to get them.
2nd, I don't understand how the components need to be assembled and how they work.

So in a nutshell, on this topic I am completely ignorant.
What I was hoping to get lucky and find was a simple step by step guide to make a mod similar to what I described.
Does anyone know of one published here or elsewhere that you think would be what I am looking for?
Even if it was something that you pay to download I am interested.

Thank You in advance for any advice/direction/help.
Links help me if you know where the info is located.

I know a bit about wood so if I can help with anything on that topic I would be happy to share info.

Peter is actually the person who got me vaping and able to quit smoking after 35+ years.
I am on the list to get one of Peter's mods. I believe my name comes up in the December build.

Wondering why ya asked if ya know the pdib,  he can show ya how to create the awesome :yes"  not much better than that mod for a simple wood bottom feeder with woodworkin skills.  On his humongous post on ecf "the list" he explains how he makes it in decent clarity.  There's also boggerbox mods -- he is out of biznuss now but if you do a google you can see his works of art they were beautiful wood box mods, his attn to detail is impeccable..  Its also a simple mech bottom feeder box mod  build but the woodworkinz are master level on both these chatz about..

For uber simplistic check out johnnydill on ecf his altoid tin bottom feeder build  its pretty sweet..

Peter is going to help me with my build.
I had just thought if something had been published here I would be able to have a better understanding and could ask more specific questions and not use so much of his time.

Are bottom feed mechanicals looked down upon here? So far that is all I have used.
I went through most of the modding threads and the focus seems to be primarily on electronics.

No not at all mechanicals everywhere

David4500 just dropped the bomb on a mechanical build.  They are buried in other post sometimes but there are quite a bot of mechanicals loaded.

Read thru this post its starts at post 91 and gets better as he puts the awesome into a mechanical creating possibly the lowest vdrop mechanical, pipe or box mod you can build..  http://breaktru.com/smf/index.php/topic,616.50.html

Theres instructions to build a copper pipe mechanical, lipo batt mechs,  huge post about mechs,  they are maybe not on 1st page but whoa lots of them.

I was saying you have the man and the things he can show ya  :yes"
