hi again breakthru i am hoping that the following attachmented photos will come through  :wallbash: like i said i`m completely computer illiterate i hsve to get my missis to type but anyway  :thankyou: so much for your prompt response, i used a ptn04050 fiddly to wprk with but what an amazing chip  :) so amazing for saving space i tired one of these chips before and it put the resistors parellel instead of in series if any one attempts to do these mods from any site may i strongly recommend that you read to the end of the series, may i stronglt recommend that if anyone makes one of these mods to use a multi meter to give you a true reading and trouble shootingand is  you do get stuck either ask other members or ask breakthru who replies straight away

iam thinking of making buster with a bigger bat as the 14500 struggles with high ohms cartos at high volts what do you suggest . is the 14500 at its limits or have i done something wrong.and if i was to make a fixed 5 volt mod with the ptn04050 what resistors do i use or dont i need them.                  THANK YOU

The max outputs are 12 watt and 2.4 amps. It should be fine with Hi resist atty at Hi volts. I do it.
For instance: a 3.0 ohm atty/carto at 5.5v = 1.83 amps, 10.08 watts which is less than the limitations.
However, several modders had problems including a couple that I have made with the 0450c not performing as advertised so to speak.
Put a voltmeter on it with the atty/carto attached and see if you are not dropping down to battery voltage on output.
Page 3, note (1) of the datasheet states "Operation at NO load is NOT recommended". Damage may occur.

Built this box-mod over the weekend ("dbox") after someone mentioned "double-fisted" vaping at a vape meet. Had the parts laying around, aluminum box came from an Headphone amp project gone awry.

Yes! There are TWO Atty Connectors.

Circuit uses two LD1585VC's, independent variable voltage controls: 3.2v-6.2v, Powered from DC jack with 9V 45 Watt switching power supply (or 7.2 -  8.4 Lipo pack) or two internal 9V batteries for portable use. Not the best setup, but a quick build just create something unusual and silly while waiting from my parts for a copper vv build. Can handle up to 40 watts of vaping power no problem. Metal switch selects battery power or DC power jack / battery power off. Green LED indicates power, two blue LED's indicate active atty.

Thanks to Breaktru for all the great info and the Juice tank instructions, without this forum I would not have attempted building this mod.

The perfect workbench mod. Well done SolarRay. Now that's a versatile mod.
My pleasure to provide what ever I can to help out new mod builders.

WHAT DID YOU USE FOR THE GOOSE NECK  :thankyou:JIMMY

I bought the goose neck from my local vape supplier - they have them made somewhere in Texas. I have a second one on order.
