I'v use it for couple of months - so far, so good. Stable, functional and acceptable price. For someones one is weakness, for me is good feature: when you put low res atty/cart like DCT, never mind how low you setup the voltage, Lava apply only 3.85V. That way you cannot broke nor Lava, nor cart. Good power, good live time of batteries (Sanyo 2600mAh). Fast switch of VV with two buttons. Not so many features like in Provari or Darvin, but twice cheeper.
Must have in PV arsenal  :yes"

I got my lavatube (apollo vtube) 2 weeks ago and i love it! The only thing i dont like about it is the button, sometimes you have to mash it or press it a certain way for it to fire. Im not sure if this is defect or just how it is, but other than that i like it. I did get the V1 that has the 2.5amp limit but i havent bumped into it yet. Even with DCC's it doesn't bother me, but i know that 2.5amps is extremely low for most people. If i was going to get it i would get the young june model because it has a higher amp limit (i think around 3.2 not sure though). I have the 18650 and it usually lasts me 1.5 days before it drops to around 3v loaded.

I bought 2, one month ago as my first ecig, one for me and one for my brother. His is fine, on the other hand mine will only display 2.8v which trips the lo bat function and will not fire. Im sure volcano will replace it but im put out since im so new to vaping and this is my only pv. other than reliability they are great.

Not familiar with how the Lava Tube functions so this is my guess...
What atty/carto resistance are you using that trips the low bat? Maybe it's too low and exceeding the max amperage.

I did some reading on the lava tube.
If you use a low resistance atty and crank the voltage up to say 6v on the display it can be actually outputting 3.6v or less when you connect a voltmeter.
3.3v should trigger the low battery. Maybe the atty is too low in resistance.
Also good quality High Drain batteries are recommended.

Volcano replaced it. Fresh battery on the voltmeter showed 4.2v but the Lavatube was only reading 2.8v so the low battery protection would not let it fire. The top connector is supposed to be sealed but I have a feeling that ejuice made its way in to the electronics.

Mine works well with vision tanks over 2 ohms. Anything under that will not fire.
