Opening a new Vape shop in Nashua, NH
« on: August 31, 2013, 05:14:19 PM »
Hi all, I went to boston bottle looking for bottles recommended. I am looking for 5ml, 10ml and 30ml. Bulk could work, say around 100-500. I am seriously considering opening up a small vape shop here in Nashua, NH. any thoughts on that? What to stock and what not to? I figured I would start with the single unit with charger and as many flavors as I can afford. And a few brochures. I don't want to confuse the newbee and as you know, it can get very confusing for the new kid on the block. Any thought would be greatly appreciated.  Any advice would be truly appreciated.

PS: do you think it would be cheaper to make my own juice or to purchase the ready to vape juice?? Just a thought.

It's a lot cheaper to mix your own, like 25 times cheaper.  Pre-mix juice is usually around 50¢ an ml for an inexpensive source.  If you buy ingredients in bulk from inexpensive sources, you can get the cost of DIY juice down to like 2¢ an ml.

The most popular battery unit is probably the eGo type.  A lot of new vapers are generally not interested in larger battery mods and a ciggie size device does not work out well for most.  They just don't run very long on a charge and the vapor output is not that great.

The Kangar mini ProTank or the Vision mini Vivi Nova are good atomizers for the eGo.  The 1.8 Ohm heads work decent with the eGo's lower voltage.  You could also stock the eGo Twist which offers variable output.  It works well with the clearomizers.  They're longer battery units though.

Watch out for knockoff egos when buying stock, better to get the original Joyetech ones or possibly other name brands like Vision or Smoktech.  The quality can be scary bad with no-name eGo clones.  That includes the chargers.  Faulty chargers cause battery fires so stick to the name brand ones.

Hey brother, thanks so much for those responses. They surely did help. Of course, being new at this (but not to retail in general as I have much retail experience), Skype is an awesome idea. Just let me know when you would like to hook up. You can call me at 603-921-1424 (cell) and we can set up a time for the skype call. Location, location, location!!!! Critical and Nashua has absolutely absolutely no e-cig shops for miles around. The closest thing is a few grocery stores sell those single throw away devices which aren't worth a cent as far as I am concerned, especially if you can get your customized flavors as you wait. That is one of the benefits I will be offering. I have a lot of good ideas and would love to run them by you using skype. Jus let me know when you would like to get a chat going. Thanks
Ron

I myself have been thinking of opening a vape shop. My biggest concern is finding vendors to get product. there is a tobacco shop that stocks ejuice and some egos and mostly ego clones. then two booths in a local flea market that have juice and a few mods. not sure which. any idea where to find suppliers?

Hello, glad to hear you are deciding to open a shop. Right now it is in its infancy. I am dealing with a dealer called Steve at http://www.stevenswholesale.com/  He has an affiliate program that is very fair. All I did was have some business cards made up with the address and some info. The address he sends you goes directly to his warehouse and it has your own personal account number imbedded so any orders that are generated by you give you a percent of the sales. Really simple to use and make money. No computer knowledge needed really. You can get business cards pretty cheap at vistaprint.com and they are really good quality cards and very inexpensive. I am going to be looking for a good dealer for my wholesale products and that is where I am going to start. I am lucky because there are absolutely no e-cig stores for miles and miles of my location. If you want, I can let you know how things progress and what works and what doesn't. I wish you all the best. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at acceptchristtoday50@gmail.com or here on the board. Good luck in all your endeavors.

Thanks Tommy, will do. Web site is coming along fine and I'm pretty sure I have found my supplier. Ever hear of healthcabin.net?
Will definitely keep you informed as to how it is going.
