What is blinking and is there a pattern to the blinking/flashing?

You might want to try some alcohol on the button and blotted it with a paper towel to absorb it back up.

thanks it was helpful but i kinda over dosed the thing i poured literally the alchohol on the button, and couple of drops the inside of the vamo, put it in a huge towel bag, spun it around like crazy to remove the excess stuff then let it dry completely,it was cool seeing the bag filled up with splatter of different colors knowing that alchohol was clear :)
